Markus Reitzig is an expert in strategic organizational design. He holds the chair for strategic management at the University of Vienna, is a sought-after speaker at congresses and corporate events, and  author of numerous scientific and popular articles related to management and social questions more broadly.

 

In his research, he examines how innovative organizations work and how they can be improved to achieve their goal even better. In his seminars and speeches, he inspires listeners, as a scientific consultant he advises companies on how to relaunch their strategies and  (re)organize accordingly.

Markus Reitzig is one of the best-published managament researchers in the German-speaking area and beyond. According to the Forschungsmonitoring.org ranking, he was the strongest management researcher in Austria in 2019, as measured by contributions in globally recognized top A / A + journals. In 2022 he also dominated the lifetime ranking of all management professors in Austria under 50 years of age in the same category. As a regular interview partner for major international and German-language print, radio and television media, he has become known to a wider audience. He is one of the few researchers who has been invited to speak at TEDx conferences more than once.

Markus Reitzig received his (graduate) education in Germany (Konstanz, Kiel, Munich), Italy (Rome) and the US (UC San Diego, UC Berkeley). He has worked as an Assistant and Associate Professor at London Business School and Copenhagen Business School respectively, and he has been a visiting professor at the Australian Graduate School of Management , Keio University, and INSEAD .
